I wear many hats, but I wouldn’t have it any other way: I am an interior designer, artist, ballet teacher, and dance writer. I have a Bachelor of Science Degree in Ballet Performance and Psychology from Indiana University, and an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Interior Design from the Harrington College of Design in Chicago.
I am currently the Principal Designer with the Norfolk Idea Center. With fifteen years of experience in the design field, I enjoy the opportunity to work with contractors and clients throughout Hampton Roads and the Eastern Shore, creating environments of all styles.
My mixed media artwork has been featured at the aloft hotel in Chesapeake, Bean There Cafe in Norfolk, and the Museum of Contemporary Art in Virginia Beach. Several pieces have also been included in silent and live auctions to benefit organizations such as the Red Cross of Southeastern Virginia and the Norfolk SPCA.
This site, however, will focus its attention on my dance life – my teaching, choreographing, and writing. A self-proclaimed bunhead since the age of 7, I still perform occasionally, teach ballet at two local schools, choreograph for theatre and dance productions, and write for the online magazine, AltDaily.com.
When I’m not working on a creative project, writing, or leaping around the dance studio, I am most likely with my husband, playing fetch with my cats, reading, or frolicking at the beach.
